TESTIMONIALS

WORDS FROM FANS, PLAYERS, AND MORE

  • To have the reoccurring support of Wor Flags at our games means so much to every single player. It unites the full club, makes our games that bit more exciting and really shows the city what football is about. I speak for many of the players when I say that playing at St James’ Park alone was a dream come true and Wor Flags really played a part in that. Having “howay the lasses” painted across the Gallowgate is a sight I will always feel excitement and pride from and a one I never want to forget. As both a player and supporter, I appreciate Wor Flags and everything that they have done for my team and hope to see so much more of it.

The support from Wor flags at both our games at Kingston Park and St James Park was simply outstanding. It truly made the experience special. To see “Howay the lasses” across the Gallowgate end gave me goosebumps. It still gives me goosebumps now when I think about it. It made the town feel United and the women feel empowered and at the heart of the club… just like the men's team! To see the flags flying really boosted the atmosphere and experience for a lot of first-time fans. I am very grateful for Wor flags' time and effort to support our women's team. I really hope they are excited to support the girls next season and beyond!

  • I thought it showed an incredible attachment really from Wor Flags to the players. To give him a lift in this moment I thought was very intelligent and a very emotional thing.
I think they’ve been incredible since I’ve been here with some of the displays and today was right up there.
For me, the game is all about players and special players - Maxi is certainly one of those. It was a very touching moment.
